NEW CARDIAC-ARREST RULE 2:
Know cardiac arrest when you see it.
If you see someone drop to the ground suddenly with abnormal breathing and no pulse, that’s cardiac arrest. Have someone call 911 immediately, and send someone to get a defibrillator. A defibrillator is the only thing that can depolarize the muscle fibers that are spasming out of sequence (i.e., a defibrillator enables you to jump-start the heart).
